1967 GMC 1500 Stepside Pickup

This 1967 GMC 1500 Stepside is a beautifully restored example of GMC’s iconic Action-Line pickup and presents in exceptional condition throughout. Finished in deep metallic, the truck has benefited from a comprehensive restoration completed to a very high standard while remaining remarkably faithful to its original factory specifications.

Factory identification tags indicate that this example was built as a short-wheelbase, half-ton pickup and equipped from new with GMC’s legendary 305ci V6 engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Additional factory equipment includes a Positraction rear axle with a 4.57:1 ratio, heavy-duty front and rear shock absorbers, deluxe heater, full-foam seat, rear step bumper, heavy-duty battery, and push-button radio.

The truck rides on a 115-inch wheelbase and features the desirable 6.5-foot Stepside cargo bed, giving it the classic proportions that have made these pickups so sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Unlike many restored examples that have been converted to V8 power and modernized, this GMC retains its original character, including manual steering and its correct GMC-built V6 engine. Far from being an economy engine, the 305ci V6 was a purpose-designed truck engine and one of the largest-displacement six-cylinder engines ever offered in an American pickup. Renowned for its low-end torque and durability, it has become increasingly appreciated by collectors, particularly because so many original V6 trucks were later converted to V8s.

Combining an exceptionally high-quality restoration, highly desirable short-bed Stepside configuration, and remarkably authentic factory specification, this 1967 GMC 1500 represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most distinctive and characterful American pickups of its era.
